- Hints of retro styling and SLR quality in a compact body.

- Very low noise, even at high ISO.

- Internal popup flash.
- Dedicated Movie button.
- High quality video mode.
- Is very easy to use.

Cons
- Short battery life.
- Low-resolution LCD.
- Autofocus sometimes works slowly in low light.
- No viewfinder (optional external viewfinder).
- Full manual controls are available, but can be tricky to find.
- Plastic construction where the E-P1 and E-P2 offered steel.
- No control wheels.
- Some Art filters reduce frame.
- Kit lenses are still very slow to focus relative to SLRs.
- Monaural internal microphone.
